Initially, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wanted to kill off his famous detective and did his best, throwing Holmes and his arch-enemy Moriarty, locked together, into the maelstrom of Reichenbach Falls. But the public wouldn’t let it rest, or drown there, demanding more. And so Sherlock, like Lazarus, was resurrected from certain annihilation, and proceeded to further adventures. But in Conan Doyle’s mind, they should have died in the Reichenbach Falls.

Moriarty had found the perfect man to be his Chief of staff. Sebastian Moran, army sniper and mentally insane. Besides his tendency’s of being childish and hyper, Moriarty saw this as a perfect opportunity.
